MOTEL Spring Lookbook 2012

I've been sprinkling in pieces of this collection in my otherwise drabby wardrobe. Motel has me wearing nothing but prints and bold colors and I love it! Here are a few images from our latest lookbook, my favorite print is our palm print on coral - shown in our Jodie pant in the first image paired with our Hillary Crop Top in white. I live in this print! I wear the Jodie Pants and Carly shirt separately or together as a suit, yes I went there! My trip to Florida was not just a "day trip", but more like a six. day. trip. I was out there for work so it was no where near a TANcation. The highlight of my trip was getting to see the Salvador Dali Museum  while I was in St. Petersburg, Florida. The building was a work of art itself and I'm thankful to have seen it because I doubt I'll be out there for personal reasons any time soon. 

While in Miami I stayed at the Marlin Hotel which is a recording studio that's been recently renovated into a boutique hotel. I've stayed at the Gansevoort and Fountainbleu in Miami and while those are all beautiful hotels, I think my experience at the Marlin was the best. It was more like a bed and breakfast with 15 rooms and you need a key code to get in. No annoying club music in the lobby, heavy foot traffic or overly eager attendants, just me and my clean iPad controlled room.

Looking through iPhoto and was reminded I did more than go to Costa Rica last month. I had some quick day trips to DC and Florida and made some pitstops home in NY.

Snapped these photos at the Hotel Helix in DC, a pet and bf friendly hotel. They had leopard print robes! If you're ever looking to travel with your furry BFF, look into Kimpton Hotels. They are the AWESOME. Super accommodating to pets and humans, choice snacks, and cute toiletries.
